Detailing Package
Engine Bay Detail
A careful clean and dress for an often-overlooked area.

Overview
The Engine Bay Detail is a dedicated service designed to clean, refresh and protect the engine compartment without risking sensitive components. Using controlled rinsing, gentle degreasing and filtered-air drying, we remove built-up grime, dust and oil residue from covers, plastics and accessible surfaces. Once clean, all plastic, rubber and vinyl surfaces receive a non-greasy protective dressing that restores a satin finish and helps repel future dust. The result is a tidy, presentable engine bay that complements the rest of a well-maintained vehicle.

The Process
How we approach this package.
01
Inspection & Masking
Sensitive electrical components, air intakes and battery terminals are inspected and protected before any moisture is introduced.
02
Pre-Clean & Degrease
Loose debris is removed and a pH-balanced degreaser is applied to break down oil and grime on covers and plastics.
03
Agitation & Rinse
Detailing brushes lift dirt from seams and grilles before a controlled low-pressure rinse clears the area.
04
Dry & Dress
Filtered air and microfibre towels remove moisture, followed by a satin dressing to protect and refresh plastics and rubber.
FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions.
- Is it safe to clean the engine bay?
- Yes. We use low-pressure rinsing, controlled moisture and protective masking around sensitive components. Modern engine bays are designed to withstand some moisture, and our techniques minimise any risk.
- Will you disconnect the battery?
- We do not routinely disconnect the battery. Sensitive terminals and components are protected during cleaning, and the vehicle is not started until the bay has been fully dried.
- How long does the dressing last?
- The protective dressing typically lasts several weeks to a few months depending on driving conditions, engine heat and how often the vehicle is used. It can be refreshed as part of a maintenance valet.
- Can an Engine Bay Detail be added to another package?
- Yes. The Engine Bay Detail can be booked as a standalone service or added to any of our detailing packages for a complete interior, exterior and engine bay refresh.
